The lasting kinship of two eagles is awe-inspiring. Like several larger birds, they mate for life and the relationship of fidelity and purpose communicate much to man. Kindred Spirits resulted from a request to portray a pair of eagles in a sculpture to be presented as a gift to a couple celebrating 50 years of marriage. A good thought from a loving child!! I have tried to emphasize closeness and caring. Facial expressions of birds are limited so the attitude of posture had to make the expression.
