| Among my works to date waterfowl is the dominant subject. While this may not always be, I’ll always come back.
This sculpture developed from an observation in shows and galleries: there were few , if any, ducklings. It is hard to imagine a warmer, fuzzier, more attractive infant in the bird world. The duckling emerges and within a few days is swimming, foraging, and following”mom”. They are precocious, ... they are ready. Some, like Wood Ducks, leap from dizzying heights far in advance of fledging.
