| Windsinger is a name I have retained since watching red-tailed hawks in my youth. The term reached it’s zenith for me when I came to closely view eagles. The power of their soaring flight, the immensity of wings, and the occasional chirp – a song brought to me by the wind.
The sculptural concept was slow to match the name. I knew I would make this work, but it came quietly, again and again over several years. An inquiry regarding such a composition brought form and appellation together.
